The series officially premiered on March 5, 2014 and aired three episodes each week, on Sunday (which showed the nomination ceremony and any luxury or Have-Not competitions during the week), Wednesday (which showed the Power of Veto competition and ceremony), and Thursday (the only live show, wherein there would be a live eviction, followed by the Head of Household competition). The schedule used for ''Big Brother 2'' was the same as that of the previous season. In addition, ''Big Brother: After Dark'', would return and air on Slice. The series provided an uncensored live feed from the house, airing for three hours every night.
A new spin-off series, called the ''Big Brother Side Show'', aired on Thursdays after the live show, and was co-hosted by former season 1 HouseGuests Gary Levy and Peter Brown.〔https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4jh9KmB6BA&list=UUGqzSK8Os5Z4D9XCLRamRBQ&feature=c4-overview〕
Along with the televised series, ''Big Brother 2'' featured live feed streaming from the house. Much like the previous year, the feeds were available for free on the official website, and were blocked solely for competitions and various production aspects.〔http://www.realitynation.com/tv-shows/big-brother/where-can-i-watch-canada-live-feeds/28794/#_is=1bfq9ef5cydt110fux1b68lbtm〕
